See New Rotobec Trash Grapple at LetsRecycle Live

For the first time in the UK, at LetsRecycle Live (22-23 May), McIntyre will be exhibiting the Rotobec Power Attachment (RPA) 3045T, a unique, powered ‘trash grapple’ designed specifically for waste material handling applications. The diversity of the Trash RPA Grapple is simply unmatched by any other type of grapple available. Its extra wide jaw enables operators to grab large loads, while the holes allow small debris to fall through. Backed by Rotobec’s industry leading, 18 month/3,000 hour warranty and McIntyre’s world class service, the RPA is quite simply the world’s greatest power attachment. RPAs are available with either a dangle or RGP positioned rotation. At the event, McIntyre will be displaying the Trash RPA with the RT 504, a heavy-duty 360o continuous, dangle style rotator. Rotobec dangle style rotations hang from the machine by a yoke (hanger) and are available in a wide variety of sizes. They offer cost effective maintenance due to their easily accessible greasing points and motor, allowing them to go further and protect your investment. Just two more reasons to visit us on Stand A3 at LetsRecycle, 22-23 May, NAEC Stoneleigh. Or - if you just can't wait - give us a call about this amazing waste material handling system, on +44 (0) 115 940 9630!

Meet McIntyre at Letsrecycle Live Event

We are excited to be exhibiting at the inaugural Letsrecycle Live event, which will be held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry on 22-23 May. The two-day show will cover six different show areas, three conference theatres, some awards and a range of free networking events - all focused on waste, recycling, sustainability and the circular economy.  The conference programme includes a special session on the Resources and Waste Strategy. Panellists - such as Claire Shrewsbury, head of government and communities, WRAP; Adrian Hawkes, policy director, Valpak; Jeff Rhodes, head of environment and external affairs, Biffa; and Daniel Roberts, waste team leader and vice chair at LARAC - will debate the rationale for its design and ideas about how it should be delivered. In addition, there will be a Leaders in Waste session, with thought leaders such as chief executives, David Palmer-Jones of SUEZ UK and Michael Topham of Biffa providing their assessments of the status and direction of the UK’s waste management industry. We will be exhibiting in the Plant and Machinery zone, stand A3. We will reveal which products we'll be demonstrating shortly, so watch this space! In the meantime, register to attend here.

McIntyre at Forefront of UK Fight Against Violent Crime

Increasingly, police forces across the UK are using arms amnesties as a way to get guns off the streets - and McIntyre alligator shears are being used to destroy the items handed in. The most recent amnesty is still ongoing in Kent, and we’re proud to have helped police there destroy another 140 weapons and 3,100 rounds of ammunition, to date. See a video below of our Global 4000 safety alligator shear in action chopping up one of these items - a Kalashnikov AK-47 - in seconds. Minimising amnesty risk Our shears play a crucial role in minimising the risk of any amnesty operation. The ‘surrender’ periods are of course widely publicised. If the firearms and ammunition handed in then had to be stored for any time at a standard police station, or transported to another location for destruction, there would be a very high risk of them being successfully targetted by violent criminals intent on getting them back into circulation. Because McIntyre shears are compact and mobile they can be used within any regional station, enabling the police to destroy surrendered items on receipt, on site. Optimising operator safety Importantly, our shears are also the safest for operators to use. While any of our shears from the McIntyre 407 and up are capable of chopping up weapons in seconds, police customers tend to favour our Global range of alligator shears because these systems have been designed with operator safety as a priority. Fully CE certified, all McIntyre Global Shears have a strong metal case enclosing moving parts, and a rugged guard with Perspex viewing points that protect the operator from the blades while optimising visibility. The Global 5000 and 6000 models are also equipped [...]

See you at Aluminium in Düsseldorf!

It certainly is busy exhibition season! Following our stints at RWM and BIR, McIntyre, a JMC Recycling company, will next be attending Aluminium 2018 in Düsseldorf, 9-11 October. Come and see us in the Recycling Pavilion Hall 11 stand G50/11. We will be exhibiting our impressive Shark casting machine. The McIntyre Shark was designed for our own foundry when we found that existing systems weren't robust enough, costing us too much in maintenance and downtime. We poured all our experience into engineering a superior range of ingot casting machines - and now believe they are the best available anywhere. For a start, we only source the best castings and components, and we build  our frames in-house from high-quality steel. We then engineered our pouring systems specifically to minimise dross formation for higher quality ingots. Our machines also feature adjustable speed capability, which allows operators to accurately control the volume of metal poured into each mould, greatly increasing the ability to produce ingots of consistent weight and dimension for higher customer satisfaction. We now offer an extensive range of aluminium processing systems - from shears and balers to shredders and hammer mills. Our team of experts - with first-hand experience of processing aluminium - will be on hand at the show to discuss your specific needs. See you there!

We’ll Be at RWM with Rotobec

McIntyre, a JMC Recycling company, will be attending RWM Exhibition (NEC, 11-12 September) this year with Rotobec, the Canadian manufacturer of the world's most robust grabs and grapples. McIntyre became the company's exclusive agent in the UK and Eire just three years ago and already there are more than 150 Rotobec grabs operating successfully in the UK. They have literally sold like hot cakes as word has spread that they are rugged and reliable, requiring far less maintenance than other grabs on the market, which makes them extremely cost-effective. You can read how MDJ Light Brothers significantly reduced its maintenance costs by replacing its scrap handling systems with Rotobec's: here. Better still, come to stand 5N15 and see the Rotobec 60 for yourself, and you'll soon understand why they are fast-becoming the preferred choice of many waste and other industrial operators. Rotobec's team will also be on hand to discuss its stationary loaders - another cost-saving innovation - and our experts will be available to discuss our wide range of recycling systems including cable granulators, car balers, shredders and shear balers.

McIntyre Signed by FORREC as Agent for UK/Eire

Makes McIntyre shredder range the widest in UK For all applications from aluminium, waste and scrap to hard drives and cable We are delighted to announce we have secured the exclusive distribution rights in the UK and Eire for Italian company, FORREC Recycling Systems, which gives it the widest range of shredders in the nation. Over the past 20 years, FORREC has established a strong international reputation for the innovative design and meticulous manufacture of systems to process all types of solid industrial waste, including 32 models of shredders such as: FX 5000 and FX 8000 rotary shearing machines – ideal for cars (baled or whole) and bulk ferrous or non-ferrous scrap and sheet metal. Unlike many shredders on the market, these systems are designed specifically for purpose. They are constructed from the highest quality steel, and engineered to deliver maximum throughput (20-40 tons/h) with minimum maintenance time and cost. Special features include a dual shaft system with two motors per shaft (twice the norm), independent engines and reducers, automatic greasing managed by a ruggedised PLC, bearings outside the cutting chamber and interchangeable blades in a unique, robust steel. The low rotations per minute (4-6rpm) generates high torque to process even very difficult materials. TQ four-shaft shredders – ideal for aluminium and a range of waste materials. These heavy duty shredders deliver all the reliability, ease-of-use and power of the FX with the additional ability to control the size of output. Built for heavy-duty use, TQ shredders are efficient and flexible machines. Their low rotation (10-12 rpm), unique interchangeable shaft system and wear-proof screens significantly reduce maintenance costs. XK 3000 H single-shaft grinder (hydraulic) – ideal for aluminium. This grinder with hydraulic transmission is designed [...]
