A McIntyre Classic Returns After 25 Years

A familiar machine is returning to JMC. After 25 years, this used McIntyre Mantis Baler is coming back to Nottingham, ready to be inspected and refurbished for its next chapter.

The Mantis has a particular connection to JMC, as our own Managing Director previously operated one of these machines, giving us first-hand experience of the baler and its capabilities.

Designed as a semi-automatic metal baling and sorting centre, the Mantis allows a single operator to sort and process both ferrous and non-ferrous metals efficiently.

Designed for Efficient Scrap Processing
Material can be sorted on the adjoining table before being pushed into the bale box. Oversized material can be sheared by the lid and retained on the table ready for the next cycle.
Once the lid is closed, the baling sequence operates automatically, allowing the operator to begin sorting the next load. Finished bales are then automatically ejected onto the bale track.

Awaiting Inspection & Refurbishment
This used McIntyre Mantis is coming into stock and awaiting inspection by the JMC team. Once assessed, it can be refurbished to prepare the machine for its next working life.
