Product Description

Bonfiglioli incline shears are powerful, versatile and cost effective.  They are a great choice for processing all kinds of HMS such as beams, rails, pipe, re-rod, skeleton plate, tanks and other types of heavy/oversize material.  And they’re not as expensive as you might think – especially when compared to the cost of a shear baler.

The Squalo range

Bonfiglioli incline shears  – Squalo 1500, 2000 and 3000 – are made of high strength, high abrasion-resistant Weldox 700 and Hardox 500 special steel. They can be equipped with either a diesel engine, electric power or both according to customer preference.  They are mobile machines designed to cut all types of HMS1 and other types of scrap into marketable lengths.  Fully automatic, they can take input material up to approximately 12-15m in length.

Operation

The operator feeds the machine from the top of the charging hopper.  Two side compression compacting rams and a vertical compression ram position and then the material which is then cut vertically by the guillotine action of  the shear blades.

Cycle time for the Squalo 1500 and 2000 is around 45 to 50 seconds, and around 30 seconds for the Squalo 3000.

Capacity

The average productivity of the shears processing material under normal working conditions ranges from 12 to 32 metric tons/hour, depending on the input material type and quality, quantity, operator ability and longest pre-set length of cut.

Features and benefits

  • The complete shear can be easily transported
  • No foundation or civil works are needed
  • Minimal footprint required
  • Four cutting lengths are available, which can be changed quickly and easily
  • Increased density of processed sheared material due to side compression of material prior to shearing
  • Fully automatic cycle
  • One man operation
  • Ability to process most types of HMS including heavy metal scrap, bulky material, skeleton plate, and rebar.  In addition light and mixed metal scrap can be handled with ease
  • No need to downsize the material first with alligator shears or an Oxy torch

All in all, just great all round shears.   To finish here’s a video of the big one – the Bonfiglioli Squalo 3000.  And for further information contact sales@jmcrecycling.com
