Centaur is a unique metal casting system which has been purpose designed and tested for the production of high quality aluminum granules without tails. The system works around a water cooled rotating casting table onto which molten aluminium is poured in droplets from specially designed moulds. The droplets are rotated by 360 degrees and blown from the table onto a steel conveyor by a combustion air knife. Production rates vary depending on how many tables are incorporated into the system. For example, three tables can produce up to 1750kg per hour of 10mm aluminium deoxidant granules. Granule grading systems and sorter screens can be incorporated to give the best aluminum granules possible.
