McIntyre/JMC shear range now extends from 25mm to 317mm cutting capacity

We are excited to announce we have secured the exclusive distribution rights in the UK and Eire for the powerful, large-blade shear range from Bonfiglioli of Italy. Along with the 16 shears of its own manufacture, McIntyre now offers the widest range of alligator, vertical and horizontal machines with cutting capacities from 25mm up to 317mm mild steel bar.

This extended McIntyre range provides a flexible smorgasbord of quality shears to suit any size of scrap metal or demolition operator. Further, when combined with McIntyre’s full range of car recycling equipment, it meets all the needs of car recyclers, too.

The Bonfiglioli systems will be stringently tested at the manufacturer’s site in Italy, and are backed up locally by McIntyre’s rapid response team with a wide stock of spare parts. Combined, these guarantee customers minimum downtime and the best return on investment.

Phillip Pownall, Managing Director of McIntyre, said, ‘We’re delighted to have won this agency contract with Bonfiglioli. Their products represent great value for money and complement our existing range extremely well, giving our customers fantastic choice – all underpinned by the industry-best service that McIntyre is known for.’

Bonfiglioli Shears from McIntyre
With immediate effect, McIntyre is the UK/Eire agent for:
• Bonfiglioli MOBICUT 1000 mobile horizontal shear – cutting capacity of 200mm diameter and 175mm square (mild steel bar)
• Bonfiglioli I.CUT 1500 vertical shear – cutting capacity of 253mm diameter and 225mm square (mild steel bar)
• Bonfiglioli I.CUT 2000 vertical shear – cutting capacity of 283mm diameter or 251mm square (mild steel bar)
• Bonfiglioli I.CUT 3000 vertical shear – cutting capacity of 317mm (mild steel bar)

All of these are fully automated, high performance shears which offer great flexibility and value for money, and are suitable for processing any kind of HMS (pipes, H-beam, railways, structural steel, rebars, skeleton plates, etc).
They are adaptable and hard-working, with a choice of diesel or electric motor, adjustable cutting lengths, an extended job and hopper capacity, four lifting cylinders, and an average of one cut every 45-50 seconds.

They are tough, too. Made of Weldox 700 or Hardox, they have an average blade lifespan of 1000/1200 working hours, depending on the materials processed.

Come and see us at RWM
The Bonfigliolio MOBICUT 1000 horizontal shear will be on the McIntyre stand OA117 at this year’s RWM show on 13-15 September, at the NEC, Birmingham. Also on the stand will be: a Rotobec 4 tine grab, a McIntyre 640 180 tonne shear and other examples from the extensive McIntyre range of scrap metal processing equipment.
